As an animal sciences major, you can customize your degree with one of three concentrations: Companion Animal and Equine Science, Food Animal Production and Management, or Science, Pre-Veterinary and Medical.

You will take the core animal sciences courses during your first two years. The core courses focus on animal sciences as a whole; animal care and use; genetics; anatomy and physiology; nutrition; reproduction; and growth. Understanding these fundamental subject areas will give you a strong foundation to build upon during your junior and senior years.
