Internships

Internships, both on and off-campus, afford you the chance to apply your knowledge outside of the classroom. Animal sciences students complete internships throughout the year at animal shelters/rescues, production facilities, vet clinics, zoos, and more. You can also work with a faculty member to apply internship experience to academic credit, fulfilling the experiential learning requirement.

The Department of Animal Sciences has compiled a list of internship experiences to help students discover opportunities that appeal to their interests. Please note that that students will need to contact their desired internship location directly to find out what opportunities are currently available. Application and interview processes are different for each internship, and it is the student’s responsibility to gather the criteria.

ACES Career Services can provide instruction on how to best prepare cover letters and resumes and connect ACES students with various job boards to find internships.
